By life we are changed.

Birth brings change: warmth to coolness, steady, predictable rhythms to eclectic staccatos, darkness to light, nakedness to clothed.

Failure to change in one is the force of change in another.

Changes of seasons, rain after dearth, replacing old with new: the beauty of change.

Pangs of loss, fear of death: the ugliness of change.

No one can stand unchanged.

I am learning, and learning again to find the lessons in change. To resist fear and be resourceful, to move within a new paradigm, even when that paradigm shifts more frequently than I would choose.

I have been changed by life. So have you. I have been changed by a syndrome. So have you.

We are all changed.
